Toyota GT86 roars into Belfast
Posted on: 26th Jul 2012
The Toyota GT86 has officially launched in Northern Ireland after a special event was held to welcome Toyota’s all-new sports car at Charles Hurst Toyota.
Over 200 Toyota car fans packed the dealership on Boucher Road for the official launch party, which featured a first look at the stunning new Toyota GT86.
The brand new sports car was joined at the event by some of its classic predecessors, including the TA22 Celica, Supra Twin Turbo, AE86 Twin Cam and MR2.
Senior Sales Executive at Charles Hurst Toyota Belfast, Neill Ferguson was delighted with the success of the launch, saying:
“The GT86 was incredibly well received by everyone at the launch event and the classic Toyota owners approved of the concept. Most of the older cars were more basic in their approach and that is part of the enduring appeal of those cars, making them fun.
“The GT86 follows the same approach keeping things simple, lightweight and fun, focusing the car around the experience for the driver.”
The rear wheel drive Toyota GT86 features a 200 DIN hp 2.0 litre boxer engine with vehicle stability control (VSC) with three driving modes.
The taught, aerodynamic design of the new sports car features bi-xenon headlights, dual exhaust with chrome tailpipes and 17” lightweight alloy wheels.
At 4,240 mm long, 1,775 mm wide, only 1,285 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2,570 mm, the new GT86 is the world’s most compact four-seater sports car.
The Toyota GT86 is available to pre-order or test drive at Charles Hurst Toyota now – for more information visit http://www.charleshurstgroup.co.uk/toyota/offers/new-car-offers/gt86-coupe
