Donnelly Group marks 65 years with ultimate Christmas present
Posted on: 15th Nov 2012
To celebrate 65 years in business, the Donnelly Motor Group is giving one of its customers the ultimate Christmas present.
To mark the milestone as Northern Ireland’s largest independent new and used vehicle dealership, buyers who purchase a used vehicle at any of Donnelly’s seven sites until 14 December 2012 will be in with the chance of winning their money back.
The company started in 1947 when founder Peter Donnelly opened a vehicle repair and taxi business in Caledon, County Tyrone, and Director Terence Donnelly says it has come a long way since then:
“Much has changed in the past 65 years but our ethos has always remained the same- that is, to provide great service, value and respect for our customer through honest dealings.
“We are now the largest locally owned motor business in Northern Ireland with new vehicles from an incredible 18 manufacturers, as well as used vehicle centres at all seven sites covering every make and model.
“We want to thank our customers who have helped build the company over the last 65 years so we are offering one buyer the chance to win the entire amount they paid for their used vehicle- no matter how much it costs.”
The Donnelly Group employs 550 people and has sites situated in Ballymena, Belfast (Boucher Road), Dungannon, Eglinton, Enniskillen and Mallusk.
Director Raymond Donnelly said: “It’s very exciting for us to be celebrating our 65th anniversary. Land Rover and Honda are also marking 65 years in business this year so it really demonstrates just how long the Donnelly Group has been at the forefront of Northern Ireland motoring.”
Director Terence Donnelly added: “Our expansion over the 6 decades has always been financed with the profits being re-invested in the business and we hope to continue to be an economic driver across the region for another 65 years and beyond.”
