Posted on: 20th Nov 2012
Sporting employees at local Peugeot dealership, Charles Hurst, Belfast, have scored £1,200 for BBC Children in Need, after taking part in a sponsored football match, bringing the total amount raised to over £3,000.
The game, which took place at Newforge Country Club, was cheered on by customers, colleagues, family and friends and made even more special by Pudsey Bear’s attendance.
Irish road racing star, William Dunlop and Glenn Irwin, who rides for Mar-Train Yamaha in British Supersport Series, joined Peugeot’s employees for a friendly Brazil versus Northern Ireland game and the yellows were declared men of the match after winning 5-3.
John Brankin, franchise director from Charles Hurst, said: “The football match was a huge success and a great opportunity to have a lot of fun, while at the same time raising funds for the well-known children’s charity.
“Raising so much money for such a worthwhile cause is testament to the dedication of all colleagues involved in our recent fundraising events and we’d like to thank them for their ongoing commitment.”
The dealership is also encouraging the car designers of tomorrow to create their perfect Peugeot 208 with ‘Pudsey’s Dream Wheels.’ To enter and be in with a chance of winning a Peugeot 208 please visit www.pudseysdreamwheels.co.uk.
